🤯 GOOGLE JUST WENT SUPERNOVA THIS WEEK
Your weekly guide to staying human in an AI world
Hey Conscious Church Fam
Every so often, one of the giants wakes up and reminds everyone they're still… well, giants. This week, Google did exactly that. I mean let’s be honest, they haven’t been sleeping.
Between the new Nano Banana Pro and the launch of Gemini 3, they are showing serious force in the AI space.
In today's recap:
Google drops Nano Banana Pro, a 4K, world-aware image model built on Gemini 3
Gemini 3 launches, taking top spots on major reasoning benchmarks and debuting Google’s new agent platform, Antigravity
Let’s dive in 👇
💭 Josh’s Musings
Wow.
I don’t know if it’s just my algorithm, but this whole week has felt like Nano Banana Pro has taken over the internet.
And despite all the click bait headlines: It’s not about “AI replacing designers.” It’s more that it’s unlocking people.
There are so many folks who’ve carried creative ideas for years but never had the skill, tools, or confidence to bring them to life. And suddenly, this thing shows up with 4K precision, perfect text rendering, and this weird ability to actually understand what you’re trying to make, and it levels the field.
Yes, we all see the jokes, the memes, the celebrity mashups on our feeds. But the real breakthrough isn’t the noise, it’s the accuracy. The attention to detail. The fact that for the first time, an image model can actually handle text like a designer, not like a toddler with crayons.
For churches, for creatives, for people who want to build beauty but feel stuck… this could genuinely open doors.
Tools don’t replace calling. But they do help people step into it.
And that’s what excites me.
Here is a very basic example using one of the most used images on unsplash:

And I asked ‘Create a grid of 4 different camera angles of the image, [aerial, side profile, macro, worm's eye] that follow the same style and colour palette as [the image. Make each of the new shots unique.
It spat this out:

Prompt “Create a hand drawn isometric schematic diagram of this screenshot from google earth. (Bradfield and Rougham Baptist Church)

It’s pretty good right?
Have you had the chance to play with it yet?

Recap:
Google released Nano Banana Pro, a next-gen image model with professional-level control, 4K output, and shockingly accurate text rendering. It’s built on Gemini 3, and it shows.
The Details:
Handles up to 14 visual references for complex scenes
Preserves character identity across five people
Produces full 4K images with precise camera + lighting control
Renders text better than almost anything on the market
Pulls live data from Google Search for charts and infographics
Conscious Take:
Nano Banana Pro feels like the first image model that actually understands context. Not just “draw this,” but “make this accurate, readable, and grounded in the real world.”
It was remarkable when v1 launched a few months ago and this new version is a noticeable improvement. It’s great with text, character consistency, changing angles. Upscaling images.
Scary good!

Recap:
Google launched Gemini 3, and it immediately jumped to the top of multiple intelligence benchmarks, shaking up a leaderboard that’s been fairly stable for months.
The Details:
Beats GPT-5 on major reasoning tests like Humanity’s Last Exam
Leads in math, science, multimodal reasoning, and tool use
Only loses in coding to Claude Sonnet 4.5
Generates UI layouts and visuals directly inside Search
Ships with Antigravity, Google’s new free agentic coding platform
Conscious Take:
Gemini 3 is strong, really strong, and the Antigravity platform hints at where all this is going: AI that doesn’t just think, but does things for you.
You can vibe code ideas for apps/web tools directly in the chat and preview them with remarkable quality.
“He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.” — Psalm 1:3
