💥 China’s building an AI alliance... while Meta builds a digital you
Your weekly guide to staying human in an AI world
Hey Conscious Church Fam
From China’s global AI diplomacy to Runway’s new edit-anything model, this week had range.
There’s something deeper happening too, a quiet shift in AI tone. Not just more power, but more personal. From Zuck’s “superintelligent glasses” to new models that try to ditch the “AI look”.
In today's recap:
China pitches a global AI alliance (yep, for real)
Runway unveils Aleph: edit video like it’s Photoshop
Meta wants to give you your own personal AI superbrain
Krea + BFL launch a model to kill the “AI look”
Let’s dive in 👇
💭 Josh’s Musings
On Saturday I spoke to a room full of young people, ages 11 to 17.
I shared about creativity and the future we're stepping into with AI.
It wasn’t a talk about tools or trends.
It wasn’t hype or fear.
It was a reminder.
That before they were anything else, they were made in the image of a Creator.
We talked about the first person in Scripture to be filled with the Spirit.
It wasn’t a preacher or a prophet, it was a designer.
Bezalel.
God gave him wisdom, understanding, and all kinds of skills, to build, to craft, to beautify the sacred.
That still matters.
Because in a world moving faster than ever, with AI tools that can generate in seconds what used to take hours.. it’s easy to question your role.
But AI doesn’t carry your unqiue scent
And that’s what I told them:
Start before you feel ready.
Don’t wait for permission.
Make space to hear His voice in the quiet, and then make something from that place.
The place of obedience.
Your sketch, your video, your design, your music, your podcast, your idea
It doesn’t have to go viral to be valuable.
You + the Holy Spirit = enough.
God still breathes on movement.
And He still anoints creators.

LATEST NEWS

Recap:
At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, China dropped a global “AI action plan” that sounds surprisingly… collaborative. It focuses on open-source tech, joint research, and raising AI literacy — especially in developing countries.
The Details:
Proposed international body to guide AI governance and cooperation
Calls for open data, cross-border infrastructure, and AI literacy initiatives
Emphasises “global fairness,” warning against AI becoming a “game of exclusivity”
In contrast, the US’s recent plan is all about deregulation and dominance
Conscious Take:
This isn’t just tech strategy, it’s global positioning. China’s appealing to countries left out by the Western AI arms race.

Recap:
Runway’s new model, Aleph, turns video editing into a prompting game — generate new camera angles, relight scenes, or remove objects, all with a sentence.
The Details:
Generate new angles from a single shot (!)
Swap styles while keeping consistency across scenes
Remove/add characters, change lighting or even generate next shots
Enterprise rollout has started, wider launch coming soon
Conscious Take:
This is massive. And slightly terrifying. The line between real footage and AI-reimagined moments is getting blurry. For storytellers, it’s a playground. For truth-tellers, a challenge. Especially when I see people creating mockups of products (skincare, supplements - Yikes).

Recap:
Zuckerberg just outlined Meta’s new goal: giving everyone access to a “personal superintelligence.” It’s part AI assistant, part smart glasses, part Black Mirror.
The Details:
Focused on empowering goals, not automating everything
Glasses will be key interface: voice, video, context-aware AI in your face (literally)
Meta’s now cautious about open-sourcing advanced models, citing safety risks
Rumours they paused open model “Behemoth” to focus on closed systems
Conscious Take:
The vision here is less “general intelligence” and more “you, but enhanced.” And that raises big questions: What shapes our choices when the AI knows us better (or at least at piecing together the sum of our questions/conversations/visuals etc) than we know ourselves?

Recap:
Krea and BFL just launched FLUX.1 Krea — an open-weight image model that aims to eliminate waxy skin, plastic backgrounds, and all the hallmarks of AI art.
The Details:
Trained on a high-quality, diverse dataset to improve photorealism
Rivals top closed models in human preference tests
Open-source + developer-friendly via FLUX ecosystem
Conscious Take:
We’ve crossed a threshold, AI images that don’t look AI. This will have huge implications for trust, media, selling products online etc.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” – Proverbs 2:6
